Companies hiring offshore developers often have to choose between managing freelancers themselves or working with a project vendor that manages the development work. Companies start by sharing the role, technology stack and working hours they need. Within 24 hours, Hire Offshore provides 6 to 8 developers who have already passed a stack-specific technical assessment, an English check at C1 level or above, and a behavioral interview. The client conducts its own interviews and chooses who to hire, with the full process designed to take 2 weeks from the first call.
What does hiring a developer in India cost?
The monthly cost ranges from $2,499 to $5,999 per developer and covers the developer's salary, payroll, taxes, statutory benefits, laptop and software licenses. There is no upfront payment or placement fee, and the contract rolls monthly.
A comparable hire in the US costs $13,079 to $25,461 a month once salary, taxes, benefits and overhead are counted, according to Second Talent's comparison. Based on those figures, Hire Offshore is 50% to 70% lower.
