“Modi-Shah are so nervous”: KC Venugopal alleges Centre of blocking people from reaching Delhi for Nov 1 rally

“Modi-Shah are so nervous”: KC Venugopal alleges Centre of blocking people from reaching Delhi for Nov 1 rally

New Delhi [India], October 28 (ANI): Congress General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal on Wednesday accused the Centre of attempting to block people from reaching the national capital for the November 1 Delhi Chalo march and mega rally, alleging that Indian Railways had denied trains for party MPs, MLAs and workers from Telangana.
In a post on X, Venugopal alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership was "nervous" over the mobilisation for the rally against alleged “Vote Chori” and claimed that railway authorities had delayed responding to the party’s requests for train services.
“Modi-Shah are so nervous, they have started blocking people from all over India who have begun moving to Delhi for the November 1st Delhi Chalo March and Mega Rally,” Venugopal wrote.
He further alleged that Indian Railways had denied trains for Congress representatives and party workers from Telangana despite multiple requests. “Indian Railways have denied trains for our MPs, MLAs and dedicated karyakartas from Telangana, after dragging their feet on the multiple requests we have made from our end,” he said.

Modi-Shah are so nervous, they have started blocking people from all over India who have begun moving to Delhi for the November 1st Delhi Chalo March and Mega Rally. Indian Railways have denied trains for our MPs, MLAs and dedicated karyakartas from Telangana, after dragging their feet on the multiple requests we have made from our end. Our leaders have rightfully begun a protest at the South Central Railways GM’s office against this. These tactics to suppress the public upsurge against Vote Chori will not succeed. They must ensure adequate trains to cater to the growing demand leading up to November 1st.

Venugopal also said Congress leaders had started a protest at the South Central Railway General Manager’s office over the issue, accusing the authorities of attempting to suppress the public mobilisation against alleged vote theft.
“Our leaders have rightfully begun a protest at the South Central Railways GM’s office against this. These tactics to suppress the public upsurge against Vote Chori will not succeed,” he said.
Calling on the railway authorities to address the demand for transportation, the Congress leader said adequate train services must be arranged ahead of the proposed rally. “They must ensure adequate trains to cater to the growing demand leading up to November 1st,” Venugopal added.
The Congress has planned the November 1 Delhi Chalo march and mega rally to raise its allegations of “Vote Chori”.
Meanwhile, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, alongside several state ministers, MLAs, and MPs, staged a vociferous protest outside the South Central Railway (SCR) office in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
The demonstration was organised to demand the operation of special trains from Telangana to New Delhi to facilitate party workers and citizens travelling to attend the INDIA bloc’s mega 'Vote Bachao Maha Rally'. Following the protest, local police detained several participating leaders and cadres.
The INDIA bloc has organised a massive 'Vote Bachao Maha Rally' at Ramlila Maidan / Indira Gandhi Bhawan in New Delhi on November 1, 2026, to protest against issues surrounding electoral roll revisions, democratic institutions, and central governance. (ANI)
