Los Angeles [US], August 23 (ANI): Paul Thomas Anderson's 'One Battle After Another' and Josh Safdie's 'Marty Supreme' won top honours at the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) Awards, recognising outstanding use of filming locations in feature films, according to Variety.
The LMGI Awards, held on Saturday night, celebrate location professionals and their contribution to motion pictures, television series, commercials, film commissions and special achievement categories.
'One Battle After Another' won the award for Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Feature Film. The Warner Bros. Pictures film was shot across locations including California's Humboldt County, Sacramento, Stockton, Eureka, Arcata, San Diego and El Paso, Texas, as per the outlet.
A24's 'Marty Supreme' received the award for Outstanding Locations in a Period Feature Film for its work across New York City, greater New York, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Tokyo.
In television categories, Apple TV+ series "Pluribus" won Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Television Series. The series was filmed across Albuquerque, New Mexico, Montana, Nevada and Spain.
'Fallout' Season 2, which was shot across California's Dumont Dunes, Mojave Desert, Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita, won Outstanding Locations in a Period Television Series, while Netflix's 'Black Rabbit' won in the TV Anthology, Movie or Limited Series category for its filming locations across New York City, including Brooklyn and Manhattan.
The Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission received the Outstanding Film Commission/Office award for its contribution to "One Battle After Another".
Toyota Trucks' "They Don't Read Reviews" won Outstanding Locations in a Commercial category, according to Variety.
Four-time Emmy-winning writer and director Vince Gilligan was honoured with the Eva Monley Award for his contribution to storytelling through locations throughout his career, including his recent work on "Pluribus".
Location manager Mike Fantasia, whose credits include "Top Gun: Maverick", "Killers of the Flower Moon" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming", received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
"Celebrating our LMGI winners was a truly remarkable experience. The ceremony was a powerful celebration of achievement, filled with inspiring moments and well-deserved recognition, beautifully capped by the genius of Vince Gilligan," LMGI Awards Chair Nancy Haecker said.
"Each of these year's winners is incredibly deserving, and it was a distinct privilege to honour their talent, dedication, and outstanding contributions to our industry," she added.
The winning teams recognised at the awards included Michael Glaser, Michael Wesley and Rich Heichel for "One Battle After Another"; Matthew Kania and Ross Brodar for "Marty Supreme"; and location professionals from "Pluribus", "Fallout" and "Black Rabbit", according to Variety. (ANI)
