MP CM Yadav inaugurates 5-star hotel in Indore, highlights its importance for upcoming Simhastha 2028

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 13 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday inaugurated the Taj Vivanta 5-star hotel in Indore and stressed its importance in view of the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2028 in Ujjain.
CM Yadav highlighted that the facility would boost tourism, support business activities and generate employment opportunities in the Malwa region, adding that the state was making continuous progress in tourism, with major investments in hospitality infrastructure providing facilities for visitors.
Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said, “It is a major gift for Indore and the Malwa region. Madhya Pradesh is continuously progressing in the tourism sector. Large properties are coming up at different places, offering facilities for the state as well as the country and creating employment opportunities for many while contributing to the economy. With Simhastha 2028 approaching, Indore’s proximity to Ujjain makes this location extremely important. A star hotel is needed to support business activities, corporate meetings and various other engagements. Today, we have received this new facility.”
Simhastha is a major Hindu religious gathering held every 12 years in Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh, centred on the worship of Lord Shiva and the holy dip rituals in the Shipra River. It is also known as the Ujjain Simhastha Kumbh and the previous Simhastha was held in 2016.
CM Yadav further said that the inauguration of the new hotel during the auspicious occasion of Navratri would be an important milestone in the future development of the city associated with Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, particularly in trade, business and tourism.
“From the perspective of the future and business activities, Malwa has transformed into a metropolitan region. At such a time, this facility (Hotel) will certainly be a new milestone. I extend my congratulations on this occasion,” the Chief Minister added. (ANI)
