FIR registered against UP AAP Youth Wing president Pankaj Awana for allegedly entering govt school in Noida

FIR registered against UP AAP Youth Wing president Pankaj Awana for allegedly entering govt school in Noida

Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 23 (ANI): An FIR has been registered against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Youth Wing Uttar Pradesh president Pankaj Awana for allegedly entering a government school in Hoshiyarpur village of Noida's Sector-51 without permission and recording a video of the school's operations.
As this happened, AAP MP Sanjay Singh alleged that the case was registered against Awana for highlighting the condition of government schools in Noida.
In a post on X, Sanjay Singh said, "An FIR has been filed against @PankajAwanaAAP, the state president of the Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing, simply because he highlighted the dismal condition of schools in Noida. @myogiadityanath ji, you said that the schools have been transformed, so what's wrong with making a video of the school? Will the children of the poor study in hell, and will no one raise their voice for them? The schools will have to be fixed."
The case was registered at Sector-49 Police Station following a complaint by the school staff. The accused allegedly recorded a video of the government school premises without authorisation.
According to the FIR details, the case was registered on August 20. The police have registered the case under Sections 333, 351(2), 352 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The incident comes amid another similar case involving video recording at a government school in Greater Noida.
In that case, an FIR was registered against around eight unidentified individuals for allegedly entering and recording a video at a secondary school in Guridharpur Sunarsi under the Badalpur police station area.
Pankaj Awana also alleged that the action was taken to stop him from highlighting the condition of government schools. He said that he would not be intimidated and would continue to raise issues concerning the public.
In a post on X, Awana said, "If you take the truth about government schools to the people, then an FIR against you is inevitable. We are not the kind of people who get scared We are the soldiers of the Aam Aadmi Party, and we will keep bringing this truth to the people with full strength. That's why they have filed an FIR against me--so that we get intimidated, but we are not the kind of people who fear Yogi or Yogi's police." (ANI)
